ST

Bram started speech therapy today. We learned some mouf exercises, some signs, and that we can check out the Signing Time videos from the library rather than paying $50 for each set. And she told us what his speaking age is - he understands at the 8 month old level and "speaks" at the 10 month old level. BUT, she said that his understanding level is probably off (probably more like 12 months) because of his physical limitations. There's not much reason ever to tell him no or say "bring me this" or "put your shoes in the closet" so he doesn't get as much practice there. But that's what we're going to start working on.

Cookies

So, I made some cookies with all organic and all natural ingredients and they were GOOD. Yet Bram refused to eat them. :( Then the next day, Daddy gives him a crappy Chips Ahoy and he gobbled it up. How rude. And unhealthy.
PS -- I know my page looks strange now... I think its because blogspot has changed some stuff. So maybe there's still some glitches.

Baby

Bram learned to sign "baby"! Robert got a bunch of baby and kids books at a garage sale today and one was a book about babies with real pictures. I've never really tried to teach him that one before today so he learned it after reading the book just a few times. I'll post a picture as soon as I can get one. =D

The Hopsicle

Well, as most people already know, everything with the surgery itself went very well. They got his hips into place without having to take out any bone from his femur, which they had planned to do. They surgery on his feet went very well too, and they are almost in the neutral position now.

After surgery he was really nauseous and had trouble sleeping but its gotten better over time. He's still a little pukey though. o.O

Anyway, I have more pictures here.
